Makeup Is All About Colors
The whole art of makeup is about colors and how this colors are combined to produce beauty. You don't have to be a makeup artist or even a painter or graphic artist or designer to know how to combine colors together. It's really that simple. You just have to look at colors that complement each other or contrast each other. Some colors make other colors pop, for instance....if you mix a black and yellow together, the black makes the yellow pop. While a lilac and purple tend to compliment each other.
To get the right colors in makeup application, you have to play around with alot of colors. As they say, practice makes perfect, and in another sense, it's usually fun mixing colors.
Beyonce’s African-Inspired and ‘Racist’ Photo Shoot!!!
Beyonce graces the March issue of L'Officiel Paris, but it's a controversial photo of the superstar inside the French fashion magazine that's getting the most attention.
The glossy is celebrating its 90th anniversary, and Beyonce marks the occasion with an homage to Nigerian musician and humanitarian Fela Kuti; Beyonce's husband, Jay-Z, is a producer on the acclaimed Broadway musical "Fela!," based on the icon's life, music and courageous defiance against government corruption. In a statement (via Jezebel), L'Officiel describes the Feli-inspired photo of Beyonce -- sporting blackface, tribal paint and a dress designed by her mom -- as a "return to her African roots, as you can see on the picture, on which her face was voluntarily darkened."
Not everyone is a fan of the editorial vision and tribute to Kuti; the image simultaneously inspires and provokes. Writes Jezebel's Dodai Stewart: "It's fun to play with fashion and makeup, and fashion has a history of provocation and pushing boundaries. But when you paint your face darker in order to look more 'African,' aren't you reducing an entire continent, full of different nations, tribes, cultures and histories, into one brown color?"
"It's one thing to feel moved by Fela Kuti, and quite another to treat blackness as a fashion accessory, like a pair of glittery heels you put on because it looks cool," Stewart adds.

Happy Valentines Day
Happy vals day everyone, try to show love to everyone around you and not necessarily to your boyfriend or girlfirend alone. You can show love to someone by smiling to someone, shaking hands with someone, giving someone a hug, helping someone to cross the road, giving someone a ride, giving alms to the poor, buying someone lunch or feeding someone.....it's really as simple as that.....LOVE YOU ALL.

Keep Your Lips Kissable For Valentine
Imagine kissing a set of soft, full, beautiful lips on valentine's day, isn't that amazing? As valentine draws closer, and we look forward to sharing this season of love with our loved ones, here are some tips to consider in keeping those lips of yours soft, kissable and beautiful:
*Condition or Exfoilating:- I have blogged about this before. Look for a mild scrub, or you can use a wet toothbrush to keep your lips feeling soft.
*Protect:- After exfoilating, try to keep them in moisture. You can use a good lip balm or vaseline. This helps prevent them from getting flaky of dry again.
*Add Color:- It's the Season of love, don't be afraid to try a bold red (remember keep the eyes subtle if you are going heavy on the lips) or subtle shade of pink.
*Gloss it up:- For your dinner date or night outing, put some gloss on those colored lips and make heads turn.
You got yourself the perfect lips for the love season. Kiss kiss....

Halle Berry 'Reveals' New Fragrance
Halle Berry noted the success of her first fragrance, Halle by Halle Berry, and decided that the buck didn't stop there. The actress has revealed her third scent, Reveal, which launches this month.
Reveal combines fruity top notes with mimosa, Halle's favorite flower, and undertones of plumeria, iris, and neroli. The vetiver, cashmere woods and skin musk base is fragrant enough to take the place of your clothes on Valentine's Day.

Living With Alopecia
For centuries, long, lush locks have been seen as a symbol of great beauty. We frequently perm, curl, and weave in strands to help enhance our appearance, oftentimes without much thought about what life would be like without a perfectly coiffed crown. Now imagine the shock and surprise of suddenly losing it all.
About 6 years ago, I was experiencing hair loss and slow growth in the center of my scalp. That area has always been weak, but I kept perming my hair. Then, about 7 years ago, the thinning got really bad. I read an article that said you should visit a dermatologist if you are experiencing hair loss, but it had never occurred to me before that I should visit a doctor.
