World's shortest woman

NAGPUR, India (AP) — A high school student in central India was recognized as the world's shortest woman by Guinness World Records on Friday as she turned 18 and said she hopes to earn a degree and make it in Bollywood.

Jyoti Amge stood just 62.8 centimeters (24.7 inches) tall — shorter than the average 2-year-old — when Guinness representativesvisiting from London measured her at a ceremony attended by about 30 relatives and friends in the town of Nagpur, in Maharashtra state.

A teary-eyed Amge, dressed in one of her finest saris, called the honor an "extra birthday present" and said she felt grateful for being small, as it had brought her recognition. After receiving a plaque, she and her guests cut a birthday cake.

"I have put Nagpur on the world map. Now everyone will know where it is," said Amge, who says she dreams of one day becoming a Bollywood film star as well as pursuing a university degree after she finishes high school this year.

"I want to be an actor," she said.

Giuliana Rancic to undergo double mastectomy

Giuliana Rancic will have a double mastectomy after lumpectomies failed to completely eradicate her breast cancer.Appearing with husband Bill Rancic on NBC's "Today" show, the E! host, 36, said the couple considered another lumpectomy and radiation. But they are choosing the more drastic option, she said, because they want to be sure the cancer is gone, and make it much less likely to return -- less than a1percent chance, according to her doctors.

"For me, it was important to get the cancer out," she said. "That's what I wanted to do, just get it out."

The couple's desire for children did play a part. The years of medication that follow the lumpectomy-radiation option would have meant delaying parenthood for several years. But the real decision was more basic than that.

"At the end, to be honest, all it came down to was just choosing to live, and not looking over my shoulder for the rest of my life," Rancic said.

She said her husband's support was crucial in reaching the decision. "Bill said to me, 'I just need you around for the next 50 years, kid,' " she said. "He said, 'I don't care what you look like, I don't care about the physical portion of this. I just need you around for the next 50 years. So, let's just get you healthy.' And that certainly helped me come to a decision."

She added: "I couldn't be more at peace with the decision. But it's hard, and I still break down some nights ... But I'm okay."

My heart felt wishes goes to her and I wish her speedy recovery cuz I still wanna see her face on E-news.

Beauty of False Lashes.......

The eyes are considered to be one of the most striking features of anyone’s face. Also referred to as the mirror of one’s heart that can really make one look beautiful. The beauty of your eyes can be enhanced with makeup. However, apart from eye make up, what can really change your look are long and curly eyelashes. Though not everyone is endowed with such remarkable lashes, you can easily achieve that diva look with the help of false eye lashes. applying false lashes, requires utmost care. To know how to fix or apply false eye lashes, read the steps below.
  • Be very careful while taking them out of the box so that do not tear or damage. You can even trim them according to your eye size, before using.
  • Now, curl your eye lashes so that the false ones adjust properly on yours.
  • For applying false eyelashes, eyelash adhesive is required which usually comes along with the lashes.
  • Spread a thin layer of eyelash adhesive onto the eyelash strip, as too much of the glue might become messy.
  • Wait for a second, till the glue becomes a little thick.
  • Now, gently put the false eyelashes on your natural ones. Begin with the outer corner of your eye, placing them as close as possible to your natural eyelash line.
  • Readjust the eyelashes if you don’t find the position right as the glue will be soft in the beginning.
  • Press them gently, making them firm on the outer corners of the strip to ensure they stick on.
  • Make sure you do not have a white line appearing, as this indicates that there is gap between the two eyelashes.
  • To fix the problem, you can either try to readjust it there itself or you can remove them and place again.
  • After your eyelash adhesive is completely dry, apply a few coats of mascara. For finishing touches, curl them with an eyelash curler

Very simple right?....lol..well for me, I find it easy to apply false lashes on peoples faces, but its rather clumsy doing it on my own eyes. I just don't get it right on my face...isn't that rather weird?....Am I the only makeup artist that has that issue?

Iman adds Platinum Collection to growing list of brands

Her successful beauty business paved the way for a collection of clothing called Global Chic, a line of under-$100 women's separates and accessories, which is sold exclusively on HSN. This fall, she's added a higher-end line of clothing, outerwear and bags, the Platinum Collection.
"My clothes are chic; they're classics reinvented," Iman said.  "I leave the trends to H&M and Zara because they do it so well."

“When it comes to my clothes, I like color, but not in-your-face color,” she said. "I like to provide color as you need it. For instance, a red bag can lift everything up and is easier to wear than all red."
Though her fashion business has taken off, she said it's certainly not something she envisioned doing while modeling for some of the biggest names in the industry. She was adamant about not referring to herself as a "designer," but rather as someone who interprets trends and creates and curates a lifestyle line.
But her firsthand experience working directly with designers certainly has honed a keen, sophisticated sense of style.
"When I would walk in [to a fitting or photo shoot], the designer would ask me, 'How would you wear this, how would you put this together?'" she said about her modeling days. "You were a muse."
wow...am one of your great fans, I love your makeup collections, and am loving this clothing line aswell....

Tips on On Facial Contouring

Omotola
Facial Contouring is when you Highlight or Shade a feature on your face using light or dark shades of makeup. When you contour you will change, accentuate, hide, strengthen and define your face.
The main principle is this:
  • Dark shading will make facial features recede
  • Light shading will make facial features more prominent
With a foundation that matches your skintone, cover up your imperfections, scars etc.
Start Shading
With a darker foundation minimize the following features by
  1. i.      Shading the sides of your NOSE
  2. ii.      Shade the colors of your cheek and temples
  3. iii.      Shade underneath your chins
Now Highlight
  1. With a lighter foundations shade or Bronzer
    1. i.      Apply on the apples of your cheek
    2. ii.      Apply underneath your eyes in combination with a concealer. Also highlight the center of your eyelid, the middle of your forehead.
    3. iii.      Highlight your cheeks by dusting a lighter foundation or bronzer on the apples of your cheek, as well as the middle of your chin.
