Makeup Tips For The Older Women

As we age, we deal with all sorts of lines on our face, from laugh lines to wrinkles and it can be difficult to wear makeup the way we used to when we where much younger. However, just because you’re older doesn’t mean that you can’t look good and glamorous, by accepting the fact that we are older is one step and embracing our natural beauty is another. Here are a few tips that can help us achieve that natural beauty as an older person:

1: Take care of your skin. Wash and moisturize daily and make sure your diet consists of vegetables, fruits and Vitamin A.

2: Less is more. Stay clear of heavy foundations and caked powder, tinted moisturizers, liquid foundation would work better on your face. Also light touches of eye makeup and lip color would help define that natural beauty.

3: Get ur cheeks rosy. Try lighter tones of blushes like, shades in pink or natural tones so as to avoid looking like a clown, let go of the dark blushes.

4: Play up the eyes. Make the eyes the center point of your face by choosing a shadow to compliment your eye color. Before applying your shadow, use a primer on your lids to help the shadow stay put. But be sure to stay away from shimmers, it will only make the wrinkles more pronounced.

5: Pep up the lips. As you get older, your lips get thinner and tend to wrinkle. It is advised for older ladies to stick to light pinks, pretty nudes, and colors up to two shades darker than their natural lip color for a younger look. Give your lips some volume by using a gloss with a plumping agent in it. Even a dab of Vaseline in the middle of your bottom lip will do the job!

Beauty Food You Should Add to Your Diet

You are what you eat. What you eat some times can affect your skin or beauty. if you’re concerned about your skin, you may want to watch the foods you put into your body.

There are plenty of foods that have negative effects on our hair, skin, and nails but there are also other foods that allow these things to flourish. No amount of expensive lotion or vitamins can replace the lasting effects of eating the right foods.
Tomatoes
Tomatoes

They provide enough vitamin A and are full of fiber, so eating a few tomatoes can assist in the development of skin cells and the maintenance of skin cell health which wouldn't help your skin look scaly.
Oranges
Oranges

Oranges are loaded with vitamin C and it gives your skin a plumper look and younger feel to it. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that combats those free radicals that lead to premature aging of the skin. It is also recommended that you grind up the skin from oranges and make yourself a scrub. Not only do the inner contents of oranges do great things, but the skin of one can help provide a glow to your own.

BEAUTY IN PREGNANCY

Some women believe that beauty and fashion can’t work during pregnancy, I for one do not believe…….I have not been pregnant before, but from what I have learnt and experienced from pregnant friends around me, I believe some little efforts can be put to look good during this pregnancy stages…(note I said ‘little’…cuz I know pregnancy affects each person differently).

Pregnancy changes a lot about your body, the complexion changes, for some it’s either darker while others lighter, you begin to experience breakout and so on. I believe you should consider reviving your makeup as you progress through pregnancy. A bit of makeup might help you feel better about the way you look. And I emphasize ‘a bit’. Just a bit here and there to help you hide certain areas and enhance others.

During pregnancy, your makeup should be simple, cuz during this the period you are likely to feel very tired and cranky, and having to now sit and begin a process of makeup application is the last thing you want. If you are the type that wears makeup, you might want to just leave the application to the basics, by doing just your brows, light shadow on your eyes and then your lips, the foundation might not be necessary except you are trying to cover blemishes or under-eye circles or you are going out and there would be a lot of pictures taking. Stick with less, it’s faster and easier.

Nigerian Fuel Subsidy Removal.....For the Laffs

Am not going to say much about the whole fuel subsidy issue, its bad enough that its been imposed on us by the presidency, but alot has been said already, so need rubbing it in. But I like the fact that Nigerians or should I say youths have decided to look on the brighter side by making jokes out of the issue. Some people feel this jokes are insensitive and selfish, but really, why would you want to put more stress on yourself by worrying. We are Nigerians, we are generally termed happy, fun loving people. So for me, I kinda appreciate the jokes cuz I have come to the terms that the God I serve would supply all my needs according to his riches in glory.......so have fun guys and enjoy the funny pictures...
