Michelle Obama Tops Forbes "Most Powerful Women" List

Forbes magazine has released their list of most powerful women in the world.
Topping this year's list is Michelle Obama who beat out Kraft Foods Chief Executive Irene Rosenfeld (No 2) and Oprah Winfrey (No 3).
In addition to the First Lady, Lady Gaga ranks (No 7) on the list alongside Ellen Degeneres (No10) and Hilary Clinton (No 5).
Other notables on the list include Beyonce (No 9), Nancy Pelosi (No 11), Sarah Palin (No 16), and Justice Sonia Sotomayor (No 19).
Forbes changed the way it ranked women this year and based the list less on wealth and power and more on creative influence and entrepreneurship.
Moira Forbes, Vice President and publisher of ForbesWoman, spoke on the “Most Powerful Women” saying,
"They have built companies and brands, sometimes by non-traditional means and they have broken through gender barriers in areas of commerce, politics, sports and media and cultural zeitgeist, and thereby affecting the lives of millions, sometimes billions of people."
